LESSER FLAMINGOS, Fuente de Piedra

28/04 Jorge Garzón informs of a pair of Lesser Flamingos apparently incubating on the fringes of the Greater Flamingo colony at the laguna de Fuente de Piedra (Málaga). Another 2 birds are also present. Last year a pair also attempted to breed but, contrary to some reports, breeding was not proven to be successful.

Red-footed Falcons, La Janda (Cadiz), 30/04/08

30/04: A report of 3 Red-footed Falcons at La Janda, Cádiz province (D. Cuenca et al.), 2 in the afternoon (K. Muddigan). The birds were on the wires at the track down to the canal, opposite the turn off from the N-340 to Zahara de los Atunes. (A good first posting on this new site!)
